Grand mosque at dusk

Tarjama.ai

Bringing the words of scholars to everyone.

Our mission is to allow anyone, anywhere, to understand important aspects of the religion directly from scholars themselves, in their own language.

Why we built this

Knowledge shouldn't have a language barrier.

Hundreds of thousands of hours of Islamic videos exist, given by some of the most respected scholars alive today. Much of it is in Arabic, but scholars also speak in Urdu, English, French, Turkish, Indonesian, and many other languages.

Whichever language the scholar speaks, most listeners around the world don't share that language. They rely on what gets translated, what gets shared, what gets clipped. Important context is lost. Meaning gets diluted.

Tarjama was built simply as a means to help others understand things better. Whatever language the video is in, we translate it into the one you read, with Islamic terminology preserved as it should be.

What we stand for

Arabic calligraphy detail

Accuracy first

We preserve Islamic terminology exactly as it should be. Not watered down, not paraphrased. Terms like Salaf, Manhaj and Tawhid carry weight. We keep them.

Built for people

This wasn't built to chase a market. It was built because there's a genuine need. A student in Nigeria, a revert in Sweden, a family in Malaysia. Everyone deserves access.

Globe at night showing connected world

Any language, any scholar

Whether the scholar speaks Arabic, Urdu, English, French, Turkish, Indonesian, Somali or one of many other languages, we translate into the language you read.
